Spend Your Drinko De Mayo with Figure & Calvertron

What a beautiful day here in Denver!

So after an extended delay in posting & a little re organization, Mile High Disco is back! Sorry to have kept y'all waiting for so long, but sometimes you just have to concentrate on other priorities in life. That being said our timing couldn't have been better! Tonight at Cervantes Other Side, our good homies Got Bass & Gotta Dance Dirty bring you Figure & Calvertron! These dudes have been putting out huge tunes for as long as my short term memory cares to indulge me, and finally they will grace the Mile High City with their bass. From electro house to drumstep, these guys cover all the bases so expect a hell of a show! Pre sales are still available here for only $15 so I suggest you pick one up before your first 12 pack and get ready to show them how we handle business in the 303.

MHD™ x Owl Vision x Mr. Gonzo x Ali Love x Tyson

I know its been a while since my last post  (with the exception of my best of 2010 posting), but thankfully the homies Jib and Craw have been holding down the fort HARD for us at MHD!  In that time we had our inbox bursting with new music, that your ears need to hear!  Got a lot to do this week so going to keep it short but keep checking back for new music from around the globe later this week.
Here's something new from our friend Owl Vision.  As you would expect from this guy, its got lots of dark and dirty bass oozing out of your speakers.
Mr. Gonzo just sent us over his latest EP which i've got to admit has such an awesome sound.  It's defiantly a jammy little ep with a cool disco sound.

Extended Play Area EP by Mr. Gonzo

Another new little track from a DJ/ producer called Tyson.  Like Mr. Gonzo, the track has a real groovy feel, so sit back and enjoy.

BONUS track from Ali Love
Party like its your last

Party As Hard As Humanly Possible!

London Dungeon had a huge year in 2010 playing with the likes of MSTRKRFT, Mustard Pimp, Designer Drugs, Steve Aoki, Switch, Bird Peterson.  With a ton of shows lined up these guys are geared up to make 2011 one to remember.  Stay tuned for tons of new music and of course the dates for all the big shows.

If you havent picked this up already, make sure you download the much anticipate mixtape from MHD™ own London Dungeon

In honour of the fact that this was my first "summer" New Years, a little picture of some Australian hotties.

And again I know this one is late, but better late than never.

My top tracks of 2010! (in no particular order)

and Top Mixtapes!

Since its been months since my last post, I have a TONNNN of new music in my inbox that I am putting together as we speak.

So look for a couple posts to come this week to clear out the inbox and share the tunes with the world.

Keep Dancing-

Craw's 2010 Wrapup

yes, thats the four loko font.

So its that time of year again, and while I might be a day or two late to the party, here are some of my favorite tracks of 2010. Now this is no easy task, my initial playlist numbered somewhere in the 500s... However I feel that the following are the best representation of what has populated the space between my ears over the last 12 months. All of these are truly must haves!

without further ado and in no particular order...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rocco's breakout hit, anyone and everyone played this tune at one point, and its pretty easy to see why. A true dancefloor smasher.

Congorock - Babylon

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Babylon

A strong Disco House effort from TPR, love the Its Always Sunny samples...

The Phantom's Revenge - Charlie

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Charlie

My SUMMER ANTHEM. DTL comes hard with this one. Even my friends who couldn't tell drum and bass from progressive house know this tune by name.

Drop The Lime - Sex Sax

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Sex Sax

UK Legend MJ Cole really killed it with his remix of L-Vis. Come to think of it, most everything that came from Night Slugs this year was gold.

L Vis 1990 - Untitled Groove (Mj Cole Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Untitled Groove (MJ Cole remix)

I discovered Wafa after giving DTL's Fabriclive mix a listen, and what an EP this is..

Wafa - Man Down

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Man Down

Easily one of my favorite EP's of the year.. I could have easily posted every single tune!

C.R.S.T. - Good Love (D Malice Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Good Love (D Malice remix)

Big up to GDD Friend Troy Kurtz for inadvertently tipping me off to his gem. A must have..

Breach - Fatherless (Doc Daneeka Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Fatherless (Doc Daneeka remix)

DIGITALISM IS BACK! Don't Sleep on the Harvard Bass remix either.

Digitalism - Blitz

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Blitz

If your a fan of dance music and haven't heard this tune... where have you been?

Bart B More & Harvard Bass - Listen To This

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Listen to This

I would love to get my hands on the JFK edit.

Pase Rock - Nights (Nadastrom Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Nights (Nadastrom remix)

HeavyFeet and the Stamp! Beats crew had a great 2010, releasing all kinds of bass heavy bngrs.

Heavy Feet - Here We Go Again

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Here We Go Again

Horse Step! I love what Canblaster did with DTL's new single.

Drop The Lime - Hot As Hell (Canblaster Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Hot As Hell (Canblaster remix)

Udachi is a producer you need to keep your eye on in 2011. Big 'Tings coming, and this tune is definitely indicative of why he will soon be at the top of the beatport charts.

Heavy Feet - Just Fall (Udachi Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Just Fall (Udachi remix)

BNR killed it this year, but this was by far my favorite release. Big tune.

Jan Driver - Gain Reaction

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Gain Reaction

DTL makes yet another appearance on this lil chart. While I was already a huge fan of his work and the T&B Crew, his work in 2010 blew me away. His set at the T&B party in Miami (WMC) was truly something special.

Drop The Lime - Doomsday Device

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Doomsday Device

The ultimate set closer. This tune has only grown on me over time.

Jinder - Youth Blood (12th Planet & Flinch Remix)

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Youth Blood (12th Planet & Flinch remix)

Another dubbish tune.. I love this side of Dubstep.

Om Unit - Searching

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Searching

As the title states this tune is truly a neckbreaker. Big up to Bones for hooking this one.

Electrophants - Neckbreakah

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Neckbreakah

2010 was the year of the wolf in many ways. I feel like they should use this track as an example in "Mastering 101" Wolf simply kills it to the point where "going undertaker on that ass" became a new way to describe a ripper like this.

Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker

IRON DJ / DOWNLOAD MP3 / Buy: Undertaker

I love everything about this tune.

Bok Bok- Citizens Dub (Feat. Bubbz)

Well there you have it. I hope you all had a safe new years eve and here's to making moves in 2011!

Enjoy,

CRAW

Hail Nero

For the second week in a row BBC has brought us a true heavyweight to the essential mix. When I saw that Nero was up next after Mr. Gartner, I knew we were in for some shit. While the tracklist itself is a little too predictable at times (see Nero's D&B TV set), with several tunes from last week being replayed, the boys really went out of their way to make it their own. From '07 era justice & le daft to heavyweight dubstep from Doctor P & staight bass from Sub Focus, this EM has it all. What makes this though is the mixing. Really on point. These dudes will be doing some "big tings" in the next 12 months, mark my words.

Enjoy,

Craw

Wolfgang Gartner Essential Mix

When I first heard the rumblings about this on Twitter I was instantly excited given the kind of year Mr. Gartner has had production wise and this EM does not disappoint. Two hours and one mega tracklist have given us an insight to the sound that is Wolfgang Gartner. Listening to this live was quite the experience, and Wolf's productions stand out by far amongst an already stacked lineup of tunes. He truly "went undertaker on that ass"

Mishka NYC Presents: AC & Dell - Right Now

“He’s the producer, I’m the vocalist” is probably the best way to describe AC & Dell, a duo from Brooklyn and Atlanta respectively. AC also known as AC Slater (of Trouble & Bass), a globe trotting dance music producer and DJ who’s music is supported by superstar DJs like Moby and Diplo, is the man behind the controls. Dell “o8o” Harris is the charismatic former front man of TKatz (Thunderkatz) signed with Irv Gotti of The Inc Records/Universal. A multi-talented rapper fusing indie dance music and hip hop, Dell has made a home in the underground, rocking parties week after week.

Brought together by a chance remix and brief meeting at a party in Atlanta, the two talked about future collaboration which came to existence on UK’s national BBC Radio 1 when Toddla T asked AC & Dell to put together a remix for a segment on his show. The results were exciting and the reaction was supportive and positive. The two decided to continue in the studio with the goal of a mixtape, which turned into an album of all original material.

All you need to grab this FREE album is an email address... Don't sleep!
